Updated 23 October 2026
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is the entrance test for selected MBA programmes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). For CAT candidates it is a useful addition, because it falls in December, after CAT. You can also sit it more than once. Here are the official SNAP 2026 facts from snaptest.org.
SNAP 2026 important dates
From the official SNAP 2026 Important Dates page:

- Result: 12 January 2027 (Tuesday)
Test timings are communicated through the admit cards. The site also carries a notice about an extended application deadline, so check the home page for the latest window before you plan around the dates above.
Format: 60 minutes, CBT
The Important Dates page states that SNAP 2026 is a computer-based test of 60 minutes. It adds that schedules and the nature or structure of the test can change in unavoidable circumstances, at the discretion of Symbiosis International University.
Up to three attempts, best score counts
SNAP allows up to three tests. If you take more than one, the higher score is used for the final percentile calculation, with no normalisation, according to the official FAQ. For CAT candidates this is useful: a first attempt on 13 December can act as a real-conditions trial, and you can decide on later attempts afterwards.
Fees
From snaptest.org:
- SNAP test registration: βΉ2,550 per attempt
- Programme registration: βΉ1,000 per programme, paid separately for each MBA programme you choose
- Government taxes extra. Both fees are mandatory and non-refundable.
Institutes and programmes
The site lists 17 Symbiosis institutes across 6 cities (Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Hyderabad, NOIDA and Bengaluru) offering 32 MBA options through SNAP. The SNAP 2026 score is valid for admission to selected programmes for the 2027-28 academic session.
After the result
Shortlisted candidates attend a Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI), run separately by each institute. The FAQ is explicit that a high SNAP score alone does not guarantee admission: eligibility, GE-PI performance, category rules and the institute’s merit list all count. It also warns candidates not to rely on any admission assurance from agents. Admissions are merit-based, with no donation or capitation fee.
Speed practice helps
A 60-minute test rewards speed and accuracy. Timed practice on CAT Gurukul’s free practice questions builds both. See our XAT, NMAT & SNAP page for more.
